Current status of traditional plastic pallets
Traditional plastic pallets are mainly made of PP and PE and are processed through injection molding, blow molding and other processes. Compared with wooden pallets, plastic pallets have better overall performance, are clean and hygienic, are easy to rinse and disinfect, are light in weight, and are corrosion-resistant. , acid and alkali resistance, moisture-proof and moth-proof, non-mildew, impact resistance and other characteristics. The service life is generally 5-7 times that of wooden pallets, or even longer. Moreover, the raw materials of waste pallets can be recycled, although the price of plastic pallets is relatively high. It is on the high side, but the overall cost of use is lower than that of wooden pallets. It is currently the pallet variety with the best comprehensive performance. It has been widely used in automobiles, electronics, food, medicine, chemicals, clothing and other industries. In particular, plastic pallets are made by adding steel pipes. After process innovation, the load-bearing capacity of plastic pallets has increased, and the flexibility of plastic pallet processing design can better meet the customized needs of customers and lay a good foundation for the rapid development of the plastic pallet industry.

Glass fiber reinforced plastic pallet material innovation

The material cost of plastic pallet products accounts for more than 70%. Domestic large-scale plastic pallet manufacturers are mainly private enterprises, all based on production and sales. The material formula is relatively simple, and few companies have conducted research and improvement in material design and research and development.

Due to the overall improvement in the material performance of glass fiber reinforced plastic pallets, the dynamic load and static load performance of the pallets without steel pipes have been greatly improved, and they can meet the load-bearing requirements of the pallets on the shelves without the assistance of steel pipes. The traditional pallet saves more than 6 steel pipes and reduces the cost of the pallet by about 15%, which has certain cost-effective advantages (see Table 2).

From the analysis of recycling of different materials, there is no replacement service for wooden pallets. They can only be repaired by themselves or disposed of as waste materials by themselves, and the residual value is relatively low.


Plastic pallets are generally replaced according to the specifications of use. One piece for one in the first year, two for one in the second year, and three for one in the third year or subsequent years. The residual value of the pallet is relatively high. Compared with fiberglass reinforced pallets, steel pipe pallets need to be extracted first and then crushed. The recycling procedure is complicated. Glass fiber reinforced pallets can be recycled directly.

There is no replacement service for steel pallets, and maintenance services can only be returned to the factory for welding, or processed according to the steel recycling price.
